CIEM Institute Research

An industry knowledge, mastery of relevant research methods and techniques and reliable results.

A collaborative approach focused on results

The CIEM Institute has conducted research for a diverse set of clients including institutions, nonprofit and for profit organizations and governments.

In case of business-oriented projects that aim explicitly to improve a firm’s performance and competitive advantage, our research teams rely heavily on techniques drawn from business, engineering, and other technical fields.

For conducting research, the CIEM Institute adopts a results-oriented and collaborative approach that brings together researchers, professionals with diverse expertise for conducting regular and systematic analysis of issues and problems which are of current or future relevance for our corporate and institutional customers. In addition to scientific rigor, such an approach focuses on the research objectives, tears down walls and fosters collaboration.

Real-world research

Our research work primary focus is on solving real organizational and social problems. Using the highest academic research standards, our research projects are intended to support decision-makers and managers. In particular, different research approaches, results, interpretations and positions are taken into consideration. As much as possible, various possible solutions are analysed, and options are developed to provide a basis for reasoned decisions.

Up to now, most of the CIEM Institute’s research projects have required a mixed-methods approach that combines qualitative and quantitative data and analysis. However, our researchers because of their strong methodological skills, their thematic knowledge including their many years in the industry have the capability to design and conduct rigorous research projects that fit the complexity and nature of the research problem.
